September’s upcoming Field Trips
This coming Friday, September 14th, the Lower School will be taking part in a field trip with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Boat Program. We will be riding a tour bus to Hopewell, Virginia and boarding a 42-foot floating classroom. We will participate in many fun activities during our adventure on the James, such as, map activities, exploring the wetland habitat, conducting water tests, and trawling for “critters”. We are looking forward to an amazing day of learning on the James River!
Lower School students will be participating in a James River Float Company raft trip on Friday, September 28th. We’ll leave school at 10:15 via NVS bus/teacher cars, and return by 2:30. We’ll float down the James, complete water testing and netting activities, and observe the flora and fauna of the area.
