Ms. Harvell’s first and second period FOC classes have recently begun talking about poetry. The first type of poem they are studying is called a bio poem. These are poems about a person and the life they lead. As a group, each class wrote a bio poem about a teacher they selected as a class. Please take a minute to read their amazing poems below.

Bio Poem

Diane

Fun, cute, funny, and scientific

Mother of three kids

Loves science, her kids, and her family

Feels excited, sad, and happy

Who needs food, school supplies, and air

Fears snakes, bears, and giant tarantulas

Who gives a roof over her kids’ heads, help to her students, and fun to her students

Who would like to see a boxing match, real snakes, and scorpions

Lives in Lynchburg, Virginia

Roy

Written by:

Aidan Pick, Gabe Moore, Emelia Hytree, Jay Hunt, and Aiden Camden

for Mrs. Roy

Bio Poem

Andrew

Funny, tall, tremendous, and athletic

Father of Andrew and Michael

Who loves food, football, and his family

Who feels happy, soft, and excited

Who needs food, new cowboy boots, and a football helmet

Who fears moles, bulls, and his wife

Who gives candy, care to his family and his students, and  underwear to his sons

Who would like to see a Raiders football game, Hollywood, and Kenny Chesney

Lives in an apartment in the city of Lynchburg, Virginia

Hill
